So putting aside everyones view on texting while driving, when my blackberry passport 10.3.1 connects to my ford (snyc system) I can't text message. It won't load anyone's thread. Text messages still fly in and show up on instant preview but I can't respond. I can BBM, email, etc but I can't text. I had to pull up a document in a text thread recently for a parking pass while in my car and It wouldn't load. that sealed the deal of how bad this is. Anyone else have this problem??? And also after disconnecting from my car the problem persists for at least 5 minutes. Is this Blackberrys software stopping me? Or a horrible software bug? Or is it...ford? Please help.

it might be ford's way to stop texting and driving, neat security feature... wish it would make it standard on all phones (IE: if phone is travelling >20mph, texting is disabled). Sure passengers can't use it either, wouldn't that be wonderful?

But It's probably ford sync trying to read the text aloud for you? But it can't properly find them since it is blackberry? does bb encrypt text messages before displaying on phone?

Thinking it is ford, my subaru doesn't cause this problem when I connect it

I have no problems using a Passport of any version (10.3.0 - 10.3.2) in my Ford. I have My Ford Touch, though. Standalone Sync is a little bit different.

Disable syncing your texts to your car and the problem should be fixed but you will not see your texts in your cars screen anymore. It's a stupid bug that comes and goes I find... maybe an OS reload would fix it though

I have myford Touch also. THAT system is plagued with problems too! :/

Prior to 10.3 the text message in my Ford Escape 2014 worked fine. Now, no text notifications. Probably a good thing really.
