    Have not had my passport a year yet and for the past several months it will only charge to 85% and gets hot. I do a reboot and it cools of immediately and then will charge to 100% until the next time it has to be charged and the same thing happens again.

    Try doing a hard reset on it let it charge look in the forums for battery reset that might help you
