    I have got my hands on a wonderful looking Passport, but its locked to EE in the UK and my efforts at unlocking it have so far failed. Both unlockunit.com and blackberrysourcecode.com said they couldn't unlock it. The phone works as I have tested it with a borrowed EE sim. Any ideas anyone?

    I went into an EE store and they said only the original purchaser could ask them to unlock it. (I bought it on Ebay so can't really do that.)

    Their website says if you bought it second hand then go into store, nothing about original owner.

    In fact the shop I went into said my best option would be to go to a computer shop around the corner and they would unlock it. No joy there either. My only option would seem to be to try a different EE shop and hope they will do it, as their website seems to imply.

    Have you tried doing it on the EE website?

    If you need an account with EE, maybe the person you borrowed the SIM from can do it.

    It states on their website you have to take it in store if it's second hand.
