I have had a few occasions where I'm on a call and need to access something on the Internet. I put the call on speaker and open the browser. But nothing happens, no internet.

Does anyone else have this with their Passport?

It depends on your mobile connection. If you see 3G/H in the display both should be possible at the same time. If you device is connected to 2G/GPRS/EDGE it is possible to make a phone call or data connection.

But sometimes your device switches during a phone call from 3G/H to 2G/EDGE/GRPS. In that case data connection is not available, too.

I am on 4G in the UK. I notice that whenever I make a call I drop to H instead. That should still let me use the Internet. Just wondered if it was a phone setting or just a carrier issue.

You can do a lot of things while on call..

Even play crush some candy while in a meeting.

    That's pretty sweet.

4G/LTE is not able to make phone calls unless you have a VoLTE device (AFAIK theres no BlackBerry having this feature ). So it has to fall back to 3G/2G.

That would explain dropping to H then. But doesn't answer the no internet while chatting. Must be a Vodafone issue then.
