Hi guys, my BlackBerry Passport is having screen lift issues
So I am being told by BlackBerry that I will be getting a built to new device as a replacement

What does it mean? Isn't it a brand new device? Sounds like a refurbished one to me!

Sounds like it. That's not necessarily a bad thing. A rebuilt device is usually solid. I've had one, so has a buddy. Both were fine.

I also have been told I'm getting a built to new device. My phone was less than week old and receiver has a hardware fault. The agent on phone was adamant that it isn't a refurbished phone and that it has never been activated. I even asked for email confirmation of that fact which she sent to me. Am getting it in next couple of days.

Lol never heard that term, sounds like bad english to me! Perhaps they dont want to say refurb

They are very sure that the phone has never been used. They however would not send the whole box with accessories but just the replacement 'built to new' phone, Lol

Still I think the way original passport are built, they would have less screen lift issues compared to SE
But I love SE more due to its keyboard and looks ! It makes me to type more than required
