Lol. That's terrible. The keys would be massive. I do like the idea of the keyboard being able to display info though, that's pretty dope.

BlackBerry is big time failure in tablet.
PlayBook was a garbage device ever I bought.
    IMHO

Even for a concept that's just silly.

Like you said the keyboard would be difficult to use.

If they were going to get back in the tablet scene they should make something like the Surface Pro 3. But include a keyboard, have more internal storage. 64GB is not going to cut it(I'm using a 64GB surface as my laptop right now). 128GB if they decide to go that route, and also sell it cheaper than the surface.

My BB10 OS requires no PKB nor do I want them. Add a surface like keyboard for those that need then but don't ruin my all touch Bb10 experience with fancy keyboards that will fail one day.

BB30000 i agree with you.. And if at all PKB is needed, it must be kept a choice to use it or not! What about detachable, or foldable, or a slider for instance..just like the rumoured Visa/Victoria device?
But, most importantly, any upcoming tablet device must be running BB10.3 or newer OS, and not a different OS like the PB did! And any revolutionary innovation from BB is always welcome..but not this one! The keyboard will be a 'PAIN'!

Exactly! PKB must be kept as an option! Or else, just like the PB, it will also be a fail!

I think this is a really interesting concept for phones as well. Take a 5-6" phone and put a passport like keyboard under the long side of the screen and you have a very interesting device. The Blackberry passport with its 1:1 screen has no wide screen but with a 16:9 with a keyboard tilted, that would be really nice as you have a wide screen in front of you instead of a crammed 1:1. In all with the the extra keyboard it would like 30-40% wider that the normal 5" slab. Why has nobody come with a device like this before?

I've asked myself this question for years - one of the things that makes me think "WTF ppl?!" at BlackBerry design team. For a company that focuses on physical keyboards, why they have never thought to do a 16:9 phone with keyboard on the landscape side (either as a slider or whatever) baffles me more than anything. It would make the keyboard far less cramped, and make much easier document editing / email composition etc.

Something like a modernised BB take on the old Nokia Communicator, perhaps?

I think it would be more practical to include a BT keyboard as a part of a case than a non removable KB. Or if this would work the KB would have to tilt to allow more comfortable typing, perhaps the KB could have a fold out flap to act as complete cover or tucked aways for a slimmer look like the concept.

I want this tablet/phone bad, I would pay a grand for it, seriously. I have been waiting to long for a worthy replacement for my Psion 5 MX, in which I still use to edit documents and spreadsheets on the go. I would even be willing to use Android, I just want this form factor or any other large 6" phone with a landscape keyboard.
