Yes, probably a remote desktop. But great to see it works smoothly on Passport.

Remote Desktop. I have been doing this on my Playbook since the first year it came out. I use the bridge function to use the touch screen to navigate using Blackberry phone instead of a mouse. You just have to find and get a RDP app on Blackberry World.

That's for Android. Get one developed for Blackberry 10.

If you watch closely you will see the app is called receiver. So this is definitely a remote desktop.

Great to see it run so smooth though

I used to use Splashtop remote on the playbook. Not sure if it is available for the Passport or not though.

Probably Citrix Receiver. Works on iOS too.

It IS Citrix receiver. It's not available in blackberry world but probably loaded via device backup from a compatible device.

I love how people try to make it seem like it's loaded directly on the phone. Even though there are no arm builds of windows 7, aka impossible to run natively on BlackBerry, android or ios, devices, shoot not even windows phone can run windows 7. Lol

You can in theory run up to windows 98 in a dosbox
I've only tried 95 which works

Does it really matter how it runs? If it runs and fully functions and you can do what is needed who cares?

Don't think it is native Citrix. I have that on my Passport and it doesn't scale properly. Neither do the native Splashtop apps.
I tried to contact both services, and it doesn't seem like they are going to update their apps any time soon.

I have the Android version sideloaded now and that works well.

Citrix Viewer (check your settings MrGlenn), TeamViewer (android version in full screen), or one of several applications.

Did anyone notice he just unlocked the device and it's just running??! Before even questioning "how'd he do that?"

If you want to impress me unlock Restart and let us watch it boot up into Windows ... then I'll be sublimely impressed and asking How The Frak?!??

You mean dos 6.x, not windows 95.

I've used teamviewer for a long time to do this to help my parents from my device. For some reason the Passport has some issue with teamviewer that causes it to periodically lose control of the cursor. Haven troubleshooter much but whatever.

Has anyone tried the Android app for Amazon Work Spaces? $35/year or so gets you a cloud-based Windows 7 machine that you can install and run whatever programs you need. Would be interesting to see how well it works on the Passport (perhaps would be a nice weekend project).
