    During my recent few weeks with the Priv, I decided to try the new Exfat format, which didn't work out too well for the Priv since some of the core BB apps couldn't access the card.

    However, I did reformat the card before giving up the Priv and I kept it in Exfat since it is what is recommended for a 64 GB MicroSD anyhow...

    Maybe it's always done this and I never noticed, but now the default BB10 music app scans the SD card each time I boot the device... is this normal? It's not often that I go directly to the Music app, so maybe it's just me checking the app sooner than I normally do.

    AFAIK yes, it's normal to scan on boot.

    Yes, it always does that. Takes a few minutes after the reboot for the music on the SD card to be found.
