    Did a hard restart and still nothing. I say "Google" and it doesn't respond!!!!!

    Got it working. Read someone's digestion in the forums to rest languages. Change language in Assistant, then in Language and Input settings to Spanish. Do soft reset (press up volume and down volume at same time). Then reset back to English. Just saying Google worked or say Open Google.
