I just noticed that I no longer get audio responses from the Blackberry Assistant. I used to but no more. My voice response setting is turned on for everything and volume is up. I turned my Passport off and on and still nothing. Is there a secret fix I don't know about?

It's possible this started when I got updated recently. 10.3.2.440

Strictly OTA. Nothing else was done

I have a similar issue. I seem to get responses now but I don't get the initial ask of what would you like to do. I have checked the settings, changed them gone out and then changed them back and of course some hard resets, but to no avail.
The version of software the OP has mentioned was loaded OTA and worked fine until yesterday. I did load cascarun pro yesterday but I deleted that app and tried again and still no luck. I don't know what else has changed. :-(

Actually BlackBerry maps and Evernote both got an update but I have not deleted either of them...would this be the next step?

I did a complete reset and restore on my phone last night and it STILL didn't fix the issue. I can make voice commands with no problem and even get results, just no voice response. Could it be an app? I did not add anything new on my phone to make this start. Guess I can start playing around with that.

WTF Blackberry? I uninstalled Evernote and it started working! I reinstalled it again and it seems to be fine. We'll see but someone might want to check that out.

I noticed this issue on 10.3.2, had to use 10.3.1 bar files to get it back. Weird.

I don't have Evernote loaded, and I am experiencing the same issue on the same OS.

Worked for a week or so after the OTA, then nothing.

Assistant was starting to work very well too finally, such a shame.......

Didn't Evernote come on the Passport? I can't remember. Well I'll bet some other app caused it..

This happened to me. Att update last week. The only voice prompt that is gone is the first one when she asks what would you like to do. I felt this was by design since the operation is now faster without her asking that first dumb question. All the other voices are there like. " what do you want to search for". At this point I am happy. I don't miss the first dumb question asking me what I want to do.

Didn't Evernote come on the Passport? I can't remember. Well I'll bet some other app caused it..

Oh Evernote came with the software, but I removed it long ago, I don't use it.

Works the same way on the Z30. The first question is gone. All the other questions are there. No issue here for me!

Just an update, I uninstalled a few Android apps, dockit and PDF 4 Max, Assistant is working as it should again.

Not sure which app was responsible for interfering, but thanks for the advice!

'BlackBerry Assistant', like its counter part 'Siri' and 'Google Assistant' should be improving as the time goes by. Unfortunately, this need resources which BlackBerry may not have the luxury right now.

HAs anyone succeeded in getting this issue resolved.? Voice stopped working about 3 days ago. I added no new apps so there must some other issue.

Same here lol when I had the voice it would drive me nuts now I don't have it and I'm like come back lol

Ya, I had to add the 10.3.1 files to my 10.3.2, I tried and tried other 10.3.2 files, only thing that seemed to work.

Have you ever used the program sachesi? If not, it may be a little advanced unless you read up on all that.

This sucks the same way it stopped working it should just start working we shouldn't have to solve BlackBerry problem for them! I'll just wait her voice would get on my nerves anyway but when she stopped talking then I started to miss her lol. You don't know what you got until its gone! Come back bba please I beg of you

I'm curious what you use the Assistant for? I get annoyed at how slow it is. But I will sometimes just type what I want and that function is useful for me.

I use it for send a quick BBM or text, I'll say "take me to work" when I'm and about for a quicker way for use GPS, and I'll say "play xxxx" versus searching for a song. That's my main uses when I'm in a car or whatever. Also I'll have it tell me the answer for some random math equation when figuring out stuff @ work.

When I'm on my motorcycle, I'll use those but also have it read my last BBM, text, and email, then have it reply to those mainly.
