This started two days ago. It's kinda annoying me and I have no idea how to go about fixing it.

When I trigger BlackBerry Assistant, either via mute key or with the on screen button, I hear the initializing sound and then it immediately plays the sound you hear after voice input and stops with "The voice request wasn't understood."

It literally gives me no time to speak at all. Thoughts?

It's a stupid bug that still hasn't been fixed, been there for ages sadly...
You can try reloading the. Bar for it maybe?

I can't remember if I read this here or somewhere else but supposedly if you click on settings, then BlackBerry Assistant, then change languages to English UK from English US.
Restart your phone. When it boots back up, follow the same steps above to change languages back to English US.
Restart your phone again and it supposedly works... I think this solution may have even come directly from BlackBerry.

Hope this works for you. I'm curious.

I just tried this fix and now the only way I can access assistant is through the mute button. I'll give the hard reset a try.
