Yes. The PIM is probably! Doing lots of synchronization as well as any social accounts that you have setup.

Also, if you install any android applications, make sure they are set to NOT run in the background.

Mine settled after a few days. Installing Kindle from the amazon store is a sure way of frying it.

Chris Chin - how do you make sure that any android apps are not running in the background? I have several apps and have not had any problems but would like to make sure nothing is running.

Yes - normal - dealt with bizarre battery issues my first week. I WILL say, if you're on T Mobile, try toggling off WiFi for a few days and see if it improves. It did for me, then I sideloaded a previous BB10 OS to get WiFi calling to work.
