My fellow Crack users, which mobile signal would be best for reception and battery life.

    4G and 3G or 4G, 3G and 2G

    From my Jamaican Passport.

2G is the best for battery life. For reception and moderate battery life, 3G is okay.
4G is only good if you are always in a place where the 4G reception is good but it drains battery way faster than 3G or 2G

I always use 3G and reception is good with moderate battery life on my z30. I get as much as 18-20 hours.

    Keep Calm and Berry On..........

Well technically 4G LTE. It has the lowest frequency which results with better reception in and around buildings. The lower frequency wave lengths penetrate walls.

It's not like I'm worried about battery either. The phone is just faster with it on too.

I wish I could leave LTE on all the time. Reception out here is spotty. Plus I heard it actually drains battery faster so I'm not sure how you think it saves battery.

The main cause of battery drain is having patchy reception, which forces the phone to keep searching for a network. I recommend going with whatever is giving you the best and longest reception.
