Anyone interested in productivity quickly finds the utility of dictating emails, bbms, etc.

On Passport you long press the period key which is not a physical key. That sucks. Sometimes I don't press long enough or double type a period.

Also, on my version of BB10 it is very inconsistent as to how clear the start/stop is. When is the recording starting and stopping? Not obvious.

I think on old BBOS you could use the physical middle button on the side of the device and long press it.

Am I missing something? Is there a better option than long pressing the period key?
