Great way to start the weekend off.

Warmed up Jeep prior to work as I was taking it into the garage for a small leak.

Got under the jeep to see where the leak was coming from was hoping it wasn't from the rear main seal. Still can't figure where the leak is originating.

Anyway, my passport was nestled in my coat pocket, and for some reason wanted to go for a walk. It escaped like my 2 year old houdini child. Well, I got in the Jeep, backed out and looked back towards the garage and saw a black object on the driveway. I thought Damn, I dropped my little black flashlight and ran it over. Nope.... It was the passport. It lied there like a burnt pancake. Face down. Crying for help.

I got out of the jeep to assess the damage, and low and behold it was still functioning and only has a few minor scratches on the bottom left corner. I have a rinky dink rubber cover for the back and a static screen protector.

All the keys function, the camera works, and the touchscreen works.

Well its off to the local mechanic with my wounded warrior.

Good thing u don't have 4o inch super swamper tyres, the phone would have gotten stuck between the lugs and more a clicking sound when you drive down the road..

Yes ... but that is not from backing a car over it. That phone would have been demolished.

What is more likely is that damage is likely due to the use of "heavy fingers". Like a SUMO was using it. hahah ... just kidding.

Did similar dumb xss thing one day working on my truck. Put my storm on back bumper, completed repair went to take a test drive came back went inside to wash up. Wanted to make a phone call could not find phone it was in the middle of the street with the back door off and the battery popped out. Unit got some bumps and bruises but worked like a champ........

Basically luck of the draw so to speak... so much goes into whether a device survives a catastrophy.. although the BB Passport build is way better than Apple for strenght... lot depends on angels of the drop and surface dropped on... as for being run over... pretty sure the stainless steel portion of the phone probably saved the day.... unsure if an Apple would survive it... but then again maybe it would...

This is basically the aftermath. I'm too dumb to post a picture. Just need to put a new screen protector on it. Yes it was lucky. I ran it over face down. Couple of nicks down by the Z.
