Today I stopped for coffee and went through the drive thru. I hand the clerk my passport and when she went to hand it back she dropped it. I had taken it out of my credit card / phone case to give it to her. I was luck that it hit on the silver band that runs around the phone rather than the screen. That was the start of my day. The life of my passport flashed before my eyes. Order a hard case to the blood thing in so it will be safe and I will go in to pay for my coffee instead of going through the drive thru in the future.

Oh man, close call! Rule of thumb (personally): never hand your valuables to a stranger. They'll either ruin it for good or take it for themselves :P

Haha, today I went through a drive through and the clerk can't scan the bar code on my phone and requested me to hand over my Passport, I instantly remembered this story and handed it over with a comment saying, please don't drop my Passport. She didn't respond... not sure if it's because my comment was a little rude or didn't hear me... anyway, the transaction was successful and my Passport was back in my hand in a few seconds.
