You can simply swipe up from the bottom bezel and the phone will go to active frame while maintaining the call, then swipe left or right either to the hub or your apps. I often talk on the phone while browsing or using apps.

Phone is fully functional while on a call. You may have limitations connecting to data based on the coverage.

Just becareful you don't accidentally press "End Call" when you go to swipe.
Has happened to me when I had someone on speaker and swiping between several screens....
