So last night I downloaded some apps ( 4 apps)
And played around with my phone

    Then went to sleep
It was at 69 percent battery
4 hrs later I woke up
    It's empty
What's up with that? Thought it had major long battery

Post a screenshot of your device monitor with "last 48hrs" selected on top right, along with the battery graph. Maybe, someone can help you.

Go to CPU in device monitor and check what's running. Some of those apps may have closed and not reopened when it went off.

I keep check of the CPU from time to time,to see what's running in background.

Already I've pointed out what you should do in order for us to understand the issue. If you're going to ask questions without accepting any suggestions, this thread could get longer.

    Post your device monitor

    Go to settings
    Go to your app manager
    Then click on device monitor
Take a screenshot of your battery usage.
Then post it so we can see what is the issue!

I'm assuming you will see an app over 20%

Swipe down from the top on the home screen. Select Device Monitor and change to 12hrs, since that's all you should need. You'll see this:

69 percent to zero in 4 hours (passport)-img_20141217_081111.png

    And switching to CPU, this:

69 percent to zero in 4 hours (passport)-img_20141217_081121.png

Those are 48hr on my phone, but you get the picture. It will specify what apps consumed battery and CPU, and to what degree, starting with the highest.

The Passport by all accounts has a very impressive battery. Doesn't mean a user can't find ways to kill it quickly.

But wolfie, without the battery graph, you wouldn't be able to know how many charge cycles have been done and hence 53% of browser usage (in your case) may/may not be justified.

Thats why I suggested 12hrs, and the (probably foolish) assumption it hadn't been charged, except since crystal woke up.

Before you sleep close everything your browser. And at the device monitor. It will not dive down your battery.

An app could still be running in the background. Heck, you could have a group with 10 members rejoining in the middle of the night snatch your battery. I always plug in when I go to bed, which guarantees a full battery to start the day.

I get killed from time to time from by Android Apps. Just now, I had ran Our Groceries and saw both major heating and a tanking battery. I used Ghost Commander (which has started crashing on me, not sure why...), to clean up my hanging Android processes. A hard reboot later and I seem to be good.

OP -- are you making sure to Force Close items when you're through playing with them?

well, i have noticed that my passport lasts about 24-36 hrs.
I always have PIM services issue. 3 email accounts (Gmail, Outlook and work mail on exchange, via BYOD scheme).

Kinda interesting PIM battery and processor usage chart.

Off topic, but may I suggest a BBM group for shopping lists, along with any other list you want to share with the significant other.

Looks like you have accounts set to sync every 24hrs, and it's hitting you at 2:56 daily.

Yeah, I'd like to. I had pushed for Our Groceries when we were all Android. Now that I've gone back to BBRY, though, it's not as good of a program. I can't install the ad-free key that I've now paid for twice (once on Android, one for the Passport).

I'm having difficulty convincing everyone to come Back to Black with me. I can't even get them to install BBM even though we universally agreed that it was awesome when we were originally here.

So I'm stuck-ish using the advertisement laden version of Our Groceries, and I fear a power drain every time I go to the store. Ah well. I wouldn't go back to my Xperia if Sony themselves paid me. So I can put up with it.

Candy Crush kills my battery when I use it(seems like it this apps kills my battery on all my phones) but it shouldn't kill it like that. No app or anything running in the background should kill the battery like how you described. Maybe a hard reset is in order.
