Are there any good ones out there, paid or not, that basically override the Passport's camera with software that helps make it more usable? I use my phone camera for work and there are just too many times where I can't get the shots I need because of horribly inconsistent this phone's camera performance is. Just an app that would allow it focus would be a huge help, there are so many times it doesn't matter how many times I tap the screen and try to get it to focus and it either won't or it's way off.

Biggest flaw of this phone is the video and camera. Hopefully there is an update that fixes this

Unfortunately Camera++, which I really enjoyed on my Q10 is not available (yet?) for the Passport. Besides I agree, especially the autofocus performance is a huge letdown, I thought my Q was poor in this regards, but the Passport easily tops that!

Since the latest OTA update on my device (10.3.0.908) I feel the camera focuses a little better. Checkout VSCO cam from Snap for post editing.

I just now installed the Camera FV-5 Android app on my Blackberry Z-30 using Snap, and it appears to have nearly everything that the default camera app is missing! It fixes my unable-to-disable-flash camera bug in OS 10.3.1.1767.

The only obvious limitations at this time are (1) it can only write files under /Device/misc/android/, and not directly to SD card, and (2) I don't know any way to make it replace the standard camera app for actions such as touching the camera icon on the bottom right of the home screens.
