Hi, I have stumbled upon this treat of a phone while looking for a graphite version of the P'9983. The phone gets much attention and feels great in the hand ; however I have a couple of questions for you. Does anyone know what the original retail price of the device? Over time and use I have collected a couple of beauty marks on the frame, is there a way of polishing those out? Is the chin really solid silver 925? Who has the other 19 of these, would love to know.

Oh and the 10.3.3 update makes the battery last much longer than before, for those wondering about their P'9983 and the new OS.

    Thanks!

Thank you; after playing with android / ios and flirting with their latest flagship models each time they swing through, there seems to be nothing more than a quick flash of good times while finding myself long for the one that satisfied all my needs ; BB10. The Q10 has been my go-to device since it's launch and over time the spares have collected themselves to ensure years of usefulness. The passport gets a SIM while hanging out on the desk or in a jacket waiting for it's tasks to be assigned, but mainly waits for a moment that two hands are free, which rarely happens.

The Porsche Design P'9983 is the everyday tool while not working; if anyone knows the answer to these couple of questions I would be eager to fill in the gaps of my mind. Thanks again.

Say man, can you lend me one of them Porsche phones for however long you wish?... I'll be grateful, since in Africa, especially here in Congo, we don't get much of that kinda stuff... in exchange I can get you a genuine gorilla fur coat...

You may be in luck, I have been thinking of passing it on to it's next owner in the months ahead. Golden Ace added 18 VS1 diamonds, silver 925 chin and plated in something from the platinum family all on top of the graphite P'9983 (they say it took 360 hours of labor to create) ; pm me with the price you are willing to pay and it can be shipped out ready for you to take care of until the next owner.

Still looking for the original retail price of this model.

Hello, this is truly the most impressive offer ; never once have I been offered anything gorilla, sadly I am going to need to pass, however I must say thank you for bringing a smile to my face. It's amazing how these words reach and stretch around of this little ball we all call home, take care.

Has anyone come across the original price for the phone? $$$$$

Original retail price, not customized, was around $1200 USD. You can search crackberry.com for the original reveals.

Thanks for the info, Yes, I have two other P'9983 (one silver and one black) the price question is really geared towards this particular design by Golden Ace. They seem to have a range of models available for every taste ; even a few in the $XX,XXX category.

The box, covers, id card, case, chargers and phone are going to be sold once we come up with a baseline price point. I have been told that the device was over $10k usd new ( which seems high to me). However if you take just the precious metals and diamonds at cost ( $60 per vs1 x18 = $1080 + solid silver 925 chin and buttons (approximately two-ish ounces @ $50)) , add the cost of the P'9983 and what the worth of being one of 20 in the world with hundreds of hours to build and all of a sudden this little guy gets put back into it's fancy box because the next owner is out there and I hope has deeper pockets than myself. The normal, every day P'9983 will be my go to from now on.
