    Expensive phone with lousy material...

Felt so cheated. I treat it like a prince and the paint peel still occur plus the small dent and paint peel at the bezel

Guys what phone were you using immediately before the 9983? Since November last year, I've gone from the original 9983 to Passport, then Classic, and now Passport again. Don't know how well I'll adapt back to that small screen with no touch keypad or trackpad.. But I want this sooo bad!

I was using a Classic which was a little bit bigger than I initially thought and not so much fun to use single handed or even carry around then again if you are using the Passport you'll probably find the P9983 pretty small and certainly wouldn't have issues carrying a Classic.
I am one of those who really enjoyed and appreciated the Bold 9900 form factor and looks, used a Q10 which I enjoyed very much too until it decided to go for an open ocean swim. Needless to say it was super easy to adjust to the P9983, even to the glossy keypad with separated key rows which turn out to feel just awesome. The device feels very solid and the attention to detail is second to none. I love the form factor and the small screen is not a big deal, I am not into big phones for that I have several computers. I would suggest for you to go and handle one again if possible so you may get a feel of the screen and such after using the Passport, if not possible try a Q10 which is pretty close. Good luck with your decision...

The P9883 is really just to attract attention. When it comes to work, the passport is your true handy man.

I have had mine for over 2 months now, and I have seen no paint chipping or peeling. Have had numerous drops, but absolutely no problems from those. The only thing is a few scratches on the leather back, but that is normal.
I am absolutely loving this graphite version. When I put it next to my spare P'9983, it looks so much more elegant to me. Maybe the dark accents instead of silver are more understated. Either way, I'm sticking with this one. The Passport is awesome to use, but I can't deal with the size every day.

Sooner or later, you succumb to it. Like the dark side.

The phone arrived! Very happy with it!

One question: is it possible to switch from the dark theme to a light theme? Used to the light theme from the BlackBerry Classic.

I finally purchased a P9983 and I am using it as my daily driver. This phone is beautiful! While I still love my Passport this device just screams class.

Purchased the graphite model while on travel in Honolulu. Porsche Design store in Honolulu. See Dustin. He will take care of you. Great service.

The only reason to purchase a P'998x is simply for the swag and to get attention from people. It looks amazing, there is no doubt about it. Obviously it's not worth the price but it's all about exclusivity and that's fine

The Red Passport though will also get some looks and attention! Hope you guys enjoy your P'9983.
