Default Taken For a Ride - No OS7.1

How many of you feel taken for a ride by RIM? They promised OS7.1 for P'9981 by this week. Yet Nothing !!!

I don't even know if I will update it immediately: first I'd like to be sure that, with 7.1, battery will be better

RIM has released 7.1 as promised. It is up to carrier networks when they release it to customers. Two networks in the UK have released it (O2 and 3). I am running the same version 7.1.0.342 which I downloaded from a carrier in Israel. It is way better at managing battery life than its predecessors.

I stand corrected. I thought that internally the 9981 was identical to a 9900. My apologies.

They're identical but firmwares are not interchangeable.

For me, it does not show up in App loader or DM. Any advice?

EDIT: All is well, worked on a different PC. So far so good. BeBuzz, BerryWeather working fine. Same with SmrtGard (or whatever it is called now). Can't yet check hotspot as I am not in my home network, will check tomorrow when I get there.
