    I need some advice on whether to go for a P'9981 or not. I've read a lot of negative things about the device in particular loose keys and such. Then there is the OS with talk on random reboots and so on. Right now I am waiting for the Passport to hit the market, but since I held the P'9981 in my hands and tried it out I can't get it out of my mind. Please share your experience from owning the P'9981. Is it as solid as it is beautiful? How's the BBOS on it? Thanks!

    I personally don't think the tradeoff of having to look at the 9983 is worth waiting, but to each his own.

    As long as you're okay with the shortage of apps and lack of power everything's alright. My P'9981 has never let me down except for a bad battery after 2 years. It's still a great phone for daily (communication) use and if you like it I can only say get it!

    If it must be a Porsche phone, P9983. But if it doesn't, Passport + $1500 left over.

    Well I just posted this in my own thread but the very first P'9981 I bought I tried to activate today and the keyboard is broken. The "alt" is defective. Can't even change the default language. It's a complete disappointment. I am going to try one more time. But otherwise the phone looks gorgeous as does the packaging it comes in. Good luck if you decide to do it. Maybe make sure it works before purchasing. Also I'm using an iphone as a secondary device for the apps.
