Porsche Availabillity
As for the P9981, can only Porsche design stores, and official resellers, provide this unit? Can a local store import it and if so at what price? I mean itcosts 1.6k and its all novelty. I love how it looks, but it seems that compared to 9900 the additional 1000 euro you spend is for brand name and a bit of design. So since i have a buddy working at a local mobile shop, i wonder at what price could he import it, so if its noticeable cheaper maybe i could get it from him, at that price.

Re: Porsche Availabillity
You can always find places to import it, though given you never mentioned where you wanted to import it to -- makes it kinda difficult for anyone to even consider answering your question. Either way, you can buy the P'9981 on Amazon and other device retailers, it's not really that exclusive.

Re: Porsche Availabillity
Ist only a small local store and he only orders commercial phones and even those not in bulk. He only knew p9981 by name and he asked me to research it, so that he could find ways to import it. I though only certified stores could import it though. Do you think that a store could import it for under one thousand?

It'll be better to actually buy from porsche design stores, or those authorized resellers, it all depends on your location though. I made some inquiries about it too as my friend wanted to get one after seeing one in person, I made some inquiries and there's only few big phone companies (not networks) can actually order it for you and it will still come from overseas so you'll have to wait either way.

Re: Porsche Availabillity
I would advice buying from a reputable company and paying with a premium credit card. In this way, you will have purchase protection guaranteed. It will be very hard to believe if the P9981 is selling for less than USD1,800. I will have my doubts on the authenticity of the phone then.

We have them in stock in the UK with the English keypad.
We are customising our ones in stock though. We are gold plating them or doing them in HOT pink etc. What ever our client want. Currently have 7 in stock if anyone is interested. - 11-06-2012, 03:46 PM

Re: Porsche Availabillity
I'm not asking if i should buy it from a local store for matters of convenience. I just dont want to spend more than 800 euro for a phone, even if it has diamond dust from a different planet. I'm just looking for a way that is legal that will allow me to purchase this for less than a 1000. I know i must be dreaming, but maybe there could be.

Re: Porsche Availabillity
If the P9981 is Euro 800 or even Euro 1,000, I will not buy it. Totally impossible to be at this price for a genuine product. If it is at this price, I will not even buy it as it would not fall under the category of a luxury smartphone.
The P9981 is already the cheapest luxury smartphone in the market at USD2,000. If it gets any lower, it should be taken out of the luxury smartphone category. See this report http://www.phonearena.com/news/10-ex...Porsche-Design
