I was one of the first adopters of the Silver PD Berry. It was the first revision so the built quality was so so. I was fed up with the uneven keyboard lighting distribution, wiggling keys etc. So I got myself another PD berry. This time the black version. Built quality is much better. KB lighting is even, keys don't wiggle, it's 10 grams heavier than the silver one and the quality of the materials feel much better. Overall I'm pretty much satisfied with the black PD berry. The Black looks pretty cool op. You must have some good straight keyboard practice by now ready for the BB10 N series.

I'm glad that's the first Vertu I've seen. It's a bit harsh on the eyes.

Btw, do you know how many matte black P9981's Harrod's sold whilst you were there ?

Everything just looks cleaner in Matte Black. I know the original silver was to look "bling'ed", but the Black commands just as much attention.

A lot depends on what your software requirements are. I suggest that you research what the OS7 capabilities are vs BB10. The P9981 meets all my needs, as I mainly use it as a communications tool. I find that the audio of my phone calls is excellent. Web browsing is very fast. Sending and receiving e-mails and texts is very good. The Q10 is also a fine looking device. As it has a new operating system, you would have a lot more features to play with. Some people have been unfortunate in getting a lot of problems in their usage of the black and silver p9981. So you need to consider whether you want to take a chance by buying it. I have been lucky so far with my silver one. Taking all factors into consideration, only you can make the decision between the two phones
