Dude! It does! But in a different way.. Just hit the "suspend" button and then you can close the app with no problem, open the app, click "resume" and you are back exactly where you left it.

this game is brilliant thanks so much, to the guy who asked how come he cant get it to work: i think you need to download meboy from appworld to run it as it seems to be a gameboy emulator game and my pokemon game automatically opened with meboy
