Yes they will work, however it will be hit and miss whether the screens and layouts will be compatible. To load java programs you need to load the jar file onto your micro sd card, then go to your Media player app and open it, click on menu then click "explore". Find the jar file on your media card and open it, it will then prompt you to download just like installing OTA. Click yes and it will install.
