    Default Final Fantasy - hints??

Dl'd Final Fantasy from AppWorld. Plays pretty nice, but like every other $&%@! RPG I've ever tried, I'm stuck at a point that I just cannot get past. Anybody know where I can find some hints or something to get moving again? Tried Googling it, but no dice.

    Thanx

Final Fantasy has always been one of those games to create such a problem. The resolve to your issue depends entirely on how you're stuck. Difficult boss battles more often than not in FF seem to be down to level and skills available, so get back out into the wilderness and do a little grinding, that should help. If the issue is a puzzle, then a FF strategy guide from the likes of IGN should hold light to the situtation.

I haven't tried the FF offering on BB yet, although I might give it a go after reading a little into it. Is it worth the money?

Worth the money? I'd say so. Gameplay is good and has been ported well for OS6 and the touch screen. I played the game years ago on one of those earlier consoles, and this one brings back some old memories. I'm good with how everything works as far as exploring, talking, upping akills and weapons and such; I'm just stuck in a limited area now that I can't get beyond. I've visited every place I can reach and talked to every person in every village and non-hostile cave, but I keep running into more locked doors and no way to get beyond this limited area, so I'm obviously missing something. It's been a good bit of fun, but now it's getting frustrating with a couple of days of no progress, just beating up the same monsters. Help!

I'm going to be of little help in that respect I'm afraid. Its been a little while since I've played ANY FinalFantasy title, let alone one of the early releases. I'd imagine your best bet would be to find an original guide on IGN or CheatCC or similar, as if its a direct port, then nothing will have changed from the Atari version - or whatever the first FF was released on lol.

This version of 'Final Fantasy' for the BlackBerry is a port of the PlayStation version which was an updated port of the original on the Nintendo Entertainment System.

I have this walkthrough bookmarked on my phone, it's pretty easy to lose track of where you're supposed to be going in the game and I consult it regularly. I would recommend GameFaqs for any assistance, it's pretty much the best videogame resource on the internet.

Thanks for that walkthrough ... very helpful!

Ok, my problem was in the Marsh Cave ... in 3 or 4 trips there, I managed to miss the same row of rooms every time, unfortunately the one where the crown is. Once I got the crown, everything started unlocking. I'm through the unblocked canal now and messing around the earth cave trying to get a few more levels up before heading for some real trouble.

    Thanks for everyone's help!

And for anyone wondering, I do think this game is worth the money. It's one of the steeper prices out there, but it's not your typical cell-phone wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am kinda quickie ... I've missed entire football games buried in this thing! HUGE time-waster.
