Yahoo Messenger & Skype for Bold 9700?

Is there any Yahoo IM & Skype for Bold 9700? And where can i download it?

Is it possible to work without data plan, by using GPRS?

yahoo IM is available from the app world program, also from your bb directly using this site and download -> free apps pathway. also, at the time of this posting there is not a skype app for the bb, but there is a program called iskoot that is pretty good for integrating skype to your bb.

That program plus IM plus for Skyope are pretty useless considering they don't work over Wifi which pretty much defeats the purpose of Skype.

without data plan, you can't use it. GPRS still uses a data plan.

there is, in fact, a genuine beta skype app floating around. it does work on the 9700, though it drains the battery very quickly and the interface is not 100% compatible with the device (i believe the version i have was designed for the storm, but i could be wrong) in that the 'Q' and 'P' buttons act as the menu buttons. it is still usable though.

here's a link, i don't remember if this was the one i got or not. if it doesn't work, just google it up.
