I just installed the XOBNI address book because of the $1.99 sale and was confused on why it requires you to create an account. My concern is that all your contact information may be uploaded for them to use or sell. Does anyone have any information or experience that would confirm or disprove this concern?

I doubt they sell it, they're a pretty reputable company.

The account is needed to associate with your purchase.

I think the idea is that you can have your license associated with your account instead of having it associated with the device, which is actually much better. Accounts are portable, device restricted licenses are not.
