Sirius just called me yesterday to renew the premium pkg. I said if it doesn't work on my Bold, I'm not going to pay. They didn't have anything to say to that though.

hmm... I like the idea... how does it compare to pandora? I kind of like the idea of listening to HITs radio while at the gym.... i like to have the music directly on my media card though because of quality issues sounds 100 times better because i'm running wireless headphones at the gym... thats the only time i listen to music from my phone...
what is your quality like better or worse than pandora? Does this application support bluetooth playback?
Much better than Pandora. My wife would always use Pandora but when this app was released for Sirius/XM she doesn't use it anymore. She says that Pandora is nice, but after a while they tend to play the same music over and over, not enough variety.
We have used Sirius and then XM in our vehicles for the past 3.5 years-I will never not have it again. I love the variety and the ability to listen to the game wherever I am. Keep in mind, however, that you will not all stations with the mobile app-no games, no talk radio, etc.
Oooh this sucks. I had the tour 9630 on Verizon and used the Sirius app everyday at the gym. I upgraded to the 9650 on Friday, downloaded the Sirius app, only to find out it doesn't work.
And I already paid for a whole years Sirius internet upgrade.

i've been an XM sub for eight years. trust me, they can be that dumb. they are a joke of a tech company when it comes to hardware and software. don't get me wrong, the actual programming and concept are great. i'll never go back to terrestrial radio. but i wouldn't be shocked if the XM app for BlackBerry never got updated for new devices or even changed versions. i mean, look at the XM online player. it hasn't changed since it was launched years ago and is still only compatible with about 50% of the available web browsers and platforms.
if u guys want to know the status call the developer that makes the program . has anyone called yet besides me?

Yes, I called a couple of hours ago. I got a gentleman who said that XM/Sirius was aware that the Bold 9650 is not compatible and that they were "working on it". He said that we will see something "in the coming months", but would not elaborate any further on a time-line.
The comment of "in the coming months" was a bit discouraging, but hopefully he was just painting the worst case scenario....

i'm hoping someone comes up with a hack for this. the SXM app worked on my tour running 5.0.0.732. i don't see why it won't work on the bold running 5.0.0.732.
Cool thanks guys. Hopefully they relize there r ppl that r paying for the service n can't use it. I'm sure its a very tiny change they gotta do to app since the phones almost the same as the tour. They got the 8530 version out quick. Idk. Grrrrr
