Is there a cheap or free word processor app for the BB? I have been looking at eword but $70 is pretty steep.

Documents To Go (the lite version is free). This is a free app pre-loaded on OS 4.6 and higher. (maybe some 4.5?)
Check out the CB App Store and see if you can find it.

I was looking at the premium version to purchase, thinking it would only be $20-30 and it was $70

Sorry, I should have specified, is there one that will allow creation of new documents? The lite docs to go doesn't.

The premium version allows for all formatting within the document and spreadsheet apps. The lite version limits certain portions of each app.

There's a work around. Make a blank copy from your PC and copy it to your BB. When you neeed a new doc on your BB, copy the blank file and rename it.
