I am a content writer and do quite a bit of by-the-word writing on my blackberry. Right now, the only way I have to count the number of words I've written is to email the doc to my computer, which totally defeats the purpose of having a blackberry.

I do not have the premium Docs To Go on my blackberry. I know it includes a word count tool, as well as lots of other writing goodness, but I just can't swing the $50/$70 right now. For the time being I've been using the memo pad and/or the inbox (writing emails to myself) to do my writing.

Is there a free or low cost app (or a built in feature on the Bold) to count the number of words I've written?

    CBR, I'm intrigued.

I discovered that I can actually get quite a bit out of DTG standard by transferring a couple of blank docs onto my BB and then using "save as" every time. Now I'm not sure what advantages there would be to paying for/upgrading to the premium edition...
