I have a BB 8800 running operating system 4.2.1.90 and am having problems getting Windows Live Messenger to work. It comes up stating that the service is not enabled for this handheld, yet I downloaded the version for a Blackberry.

Any ideas? Anyone else had this problem?

I think it is an o2 thing. Each carrier/network has to allow it I think.

Are you getting the same problem then as I see you're on O2 as well?

I tried it and I got it running but there was no option for a hotmail.co.uk address, just msn.com, live.com or hotmail.com then when I selected 'other' it just crashed.

Did you try the latest version?

    Try this,

    http://www.blackberry.com/livemessenger/

You will need to plug your BB into the PC for this.

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks, I will try that when I get home. Unfortunately I'm at work and don't have my USB cable with me.
