Just bought quicklaunch (version 2.15.10, running on 9700/5.0.0.296) and it's been pretty great so far. I just wanted to get a feeling if I was getting the most out of it and I wanted to see how other people were using the application. Here are the items in my quicklaunch:

In the title bar I have time, date, and temperature
    -------------
    Lock Device
****** super secret app I'm beta testing and can't tell anyone about
    Ubertwitter
    Pandora
    Memory Cleaner (came with QL)
    facebook (link to mobile site)
    Movies (Flixter)
    browser
    Screen Capture (s)
    Wifi Toggle
    Radio Toggle

Here's a screenshot so you can see what my home-screen looks like:

What's in your Quicklaunch? How do you use it?

I like to organise my stuff into sub menu's and add seperators to keep things grouped together.
Also I (and prob most people) assign QL to a side convenience key. Just makes it easier to launch, and you don't need the icon.
Many theme developers are adding dedicated QL shortcuts, for example a theme I'm using will launch QL if I press the space key while on the home screen...

Installed apps are alphabetical with QL on the right convenience key.

The home screen has BerryWeather, Bolt, Calendar, Messages, CrackBerry Launcher, and Media (for pictures of the grandson) icons. Every other app or function used with any regularity is in QL ready to go.
