i just downlaoded and added the second icon. i read over the entire thread and noticed many issues with the WB app. have they been fixed? is it updateing/alerting properly? what about the LED staying on after alert is checked issue?

any updates would be great! thanks!

Most of these issues are experienced by users running the 4.5 OS. I wouldn't honestly worry if I were you.

No problem.

I have been running Weatherbug forever with not a single issue. I have my alerts set to audible, but not visual. Therefore I never have had an issue with my LED stuck flashing. You may want to consider this as well.

What's the difference bewteen the two icons? Don't they both take the browser to the weatherbug site when clicked?

The temperature icon will take you to the severe weather/alerts page when an alert is active. The forecast icon will always take you to your local forecast.

Did you download the actual Weatherbug Direct for Blackberry? Also, you are running 4.5. There are known issues with Weatherbug functioning correctly on the 4.5 OS.

Yeah, I downloaded Weatherbug direct..and yes, I'm running 4.5...so maybe that's the problem.

There is a way to get the other icon. It's in this thread. Refer back. Curve 008 posts instructions on getting the second icon. It works.

I believe most, if not all, of those issues were addressed with WBD v0.9.6.6.

I downloaded weatherbug, it worked for a week now it's just a big red dot, kinda wortless ?? Much easier to just check the weather forcast on my laptop than to fight the bug.

I'm wondering if the old 0.9.6.3 would work ok if I upgraded to 4.5OS? I heard so many people talk about only having 2 icons and such, I have 6 icons: 1 that turns red for severe weather alerts and normally just has the temp, one for pollution levels, one for UV levels, one for pollen count, one for the forecast (and is the hi/lo when you hover over it), and then the WBD settings icon. Anyone else have this version?
