I was ready to cancel my vzNav subscription, and about to delete the software, and I said to myself "myself, why don't you naive you try to check the software update just to realize that its not gonna happen, so I did with no faith, and to my surprise! Voila !! There it was, version 4.1.0 its available for BB curve just thought some people here might be very happy about this I know I am cause I can take full advantage of movie times, cheap gas, weather and traffic updates!!

Works well doesn't it.. Still wish there were more types of software we could use instead of using vznav and also having to use a BT Puck for full GPS.

What is the point with the GPS feature anyway? Someone please help me out with it since I dont fully understand that. I have the Curve 8330 on verizon also and I use the new VZ Navigator. I think it works great! What does the GPS being locked on the phone mean though?

Having the GPS locked means you can not use any other program for GPS or software that uses GPS for other reasons. They have it locked to on VZNAV. if you try and run another program it will not get any GPS info, heance it's turned off.

No, I haven't seen that thread because I was so excited, I have been waiting for so long... And about the software, well fir my personal needs I think is pretty awesome.. Like what other software are you talking about? are they better than vznav?

You can download them and run them but they will not work..

I know it sucks cause to run 3rd party apps on your vzw curve you need to run vznav on the background with the option "follow me" on, but you still gotta pay for vznav anyways..
