The Blackberry news feed is the replacement...
BlackBerry App World - BlackBerry News Feeds
But what I really like to do is use socialscope. Don't know if you have an invite but if you do then just pull all the twitter feeds that you want the news to and have them go to your messages folder when adding them to a group.
Other than blackberry news feed, I used to use the berryreader which works pretty well and it syncs to your gmail account. Got a little annoying (updating all the time and I always had the notification) but to me but it works pretty well.

I also used and liked Viigo and went to Berryreader when I got my new 9650. I now like berryreader better than I liked Viigo. You have to setup a Google account but it well worth it. Berryreader is worth the cost if you like to keep up on rss feeds.

I use EXPRSS now. I had Viigo on the Torch for a while but after getting a replacement phone I was unable to download Viigo. I tried the Blackberry Feeds again and it is unfortunately too slow at times. I spend a lot of time on ships at sea so the service can be slow. Blackberry feeds uses the browser for everything. EXPRSS works more like Viigo and also lets you use Instapaper Mobilizer which gives you text and is much faster. It is a free program as well.

Berryreader works well with googlereader, but for free, BB news feeds is pretty nice!BigBadWulf - "Word of advice - Stick to the seasoned veterans here. If you see someone who averages about 100 posts a day, gnrally speaking they have little experience, and want to prove it as often as possible. "
