Wondering if anyone has an inside scoop on whether there will be an update on App World that will not require a reboot every time there is an update. Or if someone could explain why a reboot is required after every update.

The ones that need rebooting are ones that are running from the devices bootup.

For example. GroupMe is always running in the background, Facebook is as well, BBM is running all the time, BeBuzz is too.

It has to reboot to end the old version.
After it turns off, the new version can run.

I'm totally guessing the last part. But it makes sense to me.

So, Deathcommand, I never heard it explained like that. Always wondered why some things required a restart while others didn't. I'll have to remember to thank your post when I'm on a computer.
