I think im going to get flamed for this but i did a search and couldnt find anything.
Just updated to new Berry weather and i dont see the option to shut it down, so my battery is hurting...im not new to BB but im new to this program, am i blind?
The new BeWeather I believe closes by itself when you close it using the arrow on your BB. Therefore, it doesn't require the shutdown option. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No you will not get flamed, for asking how to to do something you are not sure of. At least by Helpful posters...
DX169 is correct. With this new version, there is no longer an option in the menu to shut down. You just have to hit the escape key to shut it down. But even with it running in the back round it should not affect your battery life at all. What WILL affect you battery life is to elect to have very frequent updates. That's where the battery issues come into play. Most users feel that an update interval of every hour works for them, but this is a personal choice.
The only thing I would add to what MADBRADNYC posted is that if you truly don't want BerryWeather to use any battery (or do anything at all for that matter) then set the update schedule (it's in the Settings Menu)to Never. This disables the timer that schedules updates, and once you exit the User Interface everything is shutdown.
Yea i liked how i could shut it down when needed to save battery, my update is set to every hour, because i do like looking at it and seeing the temp but i guess i have to change that now.
