    Hi,

Was wondering if any UK users are using a weather app, and if so which one. I have seen some on here that put an icon on the main screen that will give you temp/conditions info by rolling over it. Seems like a great idea to me. I also don't want to pay a subscription and would prefer a free app.

BTW I am on T-Mobile UK which does not appear to be listed on some of the weather sites I've very briefly looked at.

    Thanks

Weather Eye and Weather Bug both work for the UK .

I use a launcher icon to THe Weather Channel.

I use the weather push app which i downloaded through the download folder ie its the blackberry help icon...click on that then go to weather and u can find it there with other weather apps.

Works perfectly fine altho doesnt refresh as often as id like it to but the forecasts are spot on tho...it also gives the icon to put on my homescreen so i can roll over it and see what the temp and conditions are like. Should work on the 8900 i would imagine...i have it working on my Bold.

    Hi,

You mean "download and tools" at the top of this page right? Then "Free BlackBerry Software", and scroll to push weather?

This is not working at the moment so guess I'll just try later.

Sorry if the above was obvious.

No. Open your BB browser at bookmarks page and select 'blackberry help'. There's a downloads section there

Sorry if I'm being a little dumb..........I'm still new to this.

Start browser that came with device (not opera mini)

Press menu button and select bookmarks

I then have a choice of:

    t-zones
    Wifi Services
    Bookmarks
    BlackberryBookmarks

BlackBerry Bookmarks just has a home page within the folder. If I click on this I just gat a page that says the blackberry help web site is designed for the BlackBerry browser and has a link to the main web site.

Please help, this is very frustrating!

Ok. Select 'go to' from your menu and type in mobile.blackberry.com.

Also go to options > advanced options >browser and set your default browser to 'internet browser' as this is best for downloading stuff.

    Hope that helps

Is your Blackberry Internet package. With T Mobile activated yet?

You need the web and walk PLUS the email package.

Mmmmm I do vaguely remember some networks having issues going to blackberry help!

For now, why not try weather eye? Point your BB browser to this OTA link.

You can always delete it if you don't like it.

As for the internet browser option, try going to options > advanced options > host routing table >menu > register now and see if that gives you it. I can't remember how TM set up is, they may favour their T Zones browser.

Hopefully another TM UK user will confirm

Thanks so much for your help and patience. The weather eye seems to work beautifully.

    Thanks again.
