ÜberTwitter Download
Sweet! - 01-04-2010, 12:10 AM #2
Damn you. I was minutes away from posting this. Lol.
I use socialscope but I downloaded this and have to say it is a very sweet update from the last time I was running UT. If only they had FB support.
Either way it seems really nice

I must be crazy but the description says "Welcome! You are moments away from experiencing a truly advanced Twitter client developed especially for BlackBerry devices. We are in our fifth Beta test phase now, but encourage you to download and try this version as we continue to refine and develop the product. "
5th? I haven't downloaded it so I may be totally wrong here.
EDIT: It's updated to .945 so maybe its a typo.Last edited by Yosaki; 01-04-2010 at 12:18 AM.

I didn't want to be the one to start the new thread though, so I just placed the link in the .935 thread earlier.MY TAKE ON THE BOLD 9900... I DON'T KNOW HOW, OR WHY, BUT IT WORKS!!!

I am really happy to see the friend picker has been added to the "go to user" option, this is now the perfect twitter app.

Anyone know the details on how the Twitter geotagging works? Is it per tweet? Do I get to choose each time?

+1, I have had severe battery drain using SS, tried all different settings, but want something that will update in the background every 15 min. or so. Ubertwitter barely even effects my battery at all, and I have it set to update every 15 min. Not to mention all of the functionality in UT, you can do more from UT than you can the Twitter web site!
The ONLY thing that SS has over UT is Facebook support, but until a 3rd party app can integrate true PUSH notifications for Facebook like the RIM app does, it seems kind of worthless to waste your battery fetching facebook notifications when they could be pushed to your device. - 01-04-2010, 10:04 AM #25
Nice and slick. The Friend Picker is real neat.
I like the look of the bubbles but went back to the bar for a little more usage of real estate. Bar generally gets me an additional tweet (or most of it) on the screen without having to scroll.
No sign of any problems at this point.
