I went though a few before I settled with Twitxreme. I like it because it shows new tweets with an icon in the banner. Also, if I view a picture on my phone I have the option from right there to send it to Twitxreme. I have yet to try Uber Twitter though, I hear that one is everones favorite.
I am currently using Seesmic, BUT I think Ubertwitter is by far the best. Well sells me is the notification of new tweets, as well as, easy uploading of video and pics.
If anyone knows a work around for OS 5.0.0.238 and the browser fix so I can use Ubertwitter not have it break my media use. And I dont want to have to uninstall and reinstall it after a battery pull. Thanks.
Had TweetGenius, installed Seesmic's yesterday, an hour later was back to TG. Seesmic's has a lot of promise but, still being in alpha, it's a work in progress.
Still waiting for that elusive SS invite... it's only been about 3 months
Just saw a post about an app called vodaphone update. Downloaded and it looks pretty nice.
Kinda like socialscope. FB twitter and twitpic all in one.
Haven't had much time with it. Just throwin it out there since I just learned about it.

I used Twixtreme. Before that Uber Twitter, before that Twitterberry.
Uber Twitter was nice but I don't use Twitter often enough to use all the functions. Twixtreme is cute and does what I need.

TweetGenius, UberTwitter and TwiXtreme are the 3 I've used... mainly go with TG (since I DID pay for it... lol) - it DOES look the best. Uber and TwiX are really good though. I don't see a notification of new tweets when I use TwiX, unlike what someone else said. Hmmmm... that was the only thing keeping me from giving it perfect marks. May have to look into that again.
I've given up on waiting for that SS invitation. The Vodafone Update thing looks a bit bleh to me, so I'm sticking with TweetGenius for the time being.
TwiXtreme - Great GUI, missing features.
Twitterlerts - I couldn't get this, too many clicks to get anywhere.
TweetGenius - Like TwiXtreme, it had the features but it still lacked simplicity.
SocialScope - I loved it, but I only have Lite and with no trending topics I got bored of replying to my friends.
Seesmic - Awful GUI, needs a lot of work.
TwitterBerry/OpenBeak - Simple, but I just didn't like it.
YATCA - Awesome app, it has messages intergration so shows under your messages on your BB. Lacks a lot of features, good for the simple tweeter.
LittleChurp - Great if you don't care about replies and just want to hit people with little updates, set it on a convenience key and you're away.
Ubertwitter - What I count to be the best twitter client for the BB today. If SocialScope Lite gets trending topics in the next update, I'd switch back though.
