I am trying to install the Facebook app on my Blackberry.

I am selecting the older version v.1.6 (since I do not have browsing) and, I keep getting the following message:

Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Facebook.

And I don't know what the problem is.

I have a 2G memory card that is pretty much empty and, device software 4.5 so, I just cannot imagine what the problem could be.

You need a data plan to use the Facebook application...

Well, I have unlimited e-mailing via my provider (rogers) and, although I cannot browse the web, I can use Yahoo, MSN, etc. on my phone with the plan I have.

Would it not be the same for teh older version of Facebook?
