I have the following apps that I tried to load to my bold but could not,...as I kept getting a msg that stated that "No additional applicaitons fesigned for your device were found".

The apps area;

BBLight.jad
Speedtest.jad
BerryUnitConverter.jad
com_plazmic_theme_3Gv121.jad
Captureit.jad

Note that the above apps file extension is " .jad ",...however when I try to load trhought the BB DM, the file extensions it looks for are: " .alx or .ali ".

I have the latest 4.6 software on my Bold.

Those .jad/.jar files need to be downloaded/installed via your BB Browser.

Go to the website (on your phone) where you found those apps and download them (OTA - Over The Air) to your phone.

Example: Download this app (CaptureIt) by typing this into your BB Browser...

The error message you are getting means you do not have the correct Device OS software installed.

Download and install your carriers, or the latest carrier approved, OS software.

Application Loader will then allow you to install 3rd Party Applications in ALX/COD format.

SS is correct, the applications you are trying to install are intended for Over the Air installation directly from your Bold.
