Hello I'm loving my new bb curve 8900. I'm currently with T-mobile. I downloaded and installed the google mobile app, & google maps but I recieve an error whenever I try to access anything, yet I can connect to the internet and run text searches just fine...

    For maps it says :
"Network Unavailable:This application requres a data connection. Please contact.."

For gmail it simply refuses to downoad it.

Facebook says something similar to the gmaps app

I updated the software to the 4.6.1.168, and I've even tried changing my APN settings to no avail.

Is there a setting I'm missing that I need to configure?

It can take a couple of days for your data plan to actually become active.

This happens every other day to me...both Google app (3.3.38) and FaceBook app(1.5.0.32). I have just given up on it working correctly 100% of the time and just deal with it.
I am currently on my second 8900 since I bought it the day it came out. I am running OS .206...it has helped some but not that much.

I'd switch back to Sprint but their phone selections sucks. Verizon and AT&T are not worth the increase in monthly service costs.

I've talked to just about everyone I can; in person and on the phone...about this and way too many dropped calls. All have been very nice.

I do love the phone though!

    Good luck!
