    Don't think you can mute the sound. I think there is a app for the timer. I will try and locate for you.

    There's also a mute app out there. Don't remember what it was, but QuickLaunch has a camera mute function on it, plus a whole bunch of other awesome features. Very worth buying this app.

    I believe I've seen an app called "Berry Annoying" that mutes the shutter.
