    I don't use BB Map. I think Google Map is the best, at least for me. The transit route features will work great in NY city.

    Combine with Google Voice search, that's everything I need when I travel.

    Google Maps was recently updated, and it offers driving and walking directions. It'll probably do exactly what you'd like it to.

    There are a few paid apps in BB App world. Mainly guides to the NY transit system I think. If you want something free, stick to google maps, poynt, and where. Poynt is pretty good for places near by. Ex: search restaurant and it will list the closest places around you according to your gps. You can also map you findings on google maps. Works well.

    You can try poynt, where and pocket express. All will help you get around. Where is the best at finding out what's going on.

    Poynt It is a great app and shows you places to go for whatever. Shows, movies, eating, hotels, etc etc
