I was wondering if there's any kind of app that my wife can keep track of her checking acct. Like an app you can just add what you spend and it automaticlly deduct so you know since she doesn't keep a check book? Any free ones possibly?

I've been using Bankarama for a couple years now. Couldn't live without it, very easy and does your calculating for you. Not free and it's pretty salty, but I don't regret the purchase. I love it.
Mobile Checkbook is a perfect app for what you need. I just purchased it a few days ago and it's great. I had been keeping track of my accounts in the memo pad, and man was it a pain in the arse. Mobile checkbook automatically deducts and adds for you and you can even set a pin on it so not just anyone can open it. It does come at a price but it is well worth it.
