I just read about an app that sounds like what you are looking for and more. It is called REXConnect. I think I am going to try it: REXconnect for BlackBerry by REXwireless Software. Someone in another thread recommended it.
My curve allowed my to set an alarm for my calender. It was called a reminder and I could set it for different times. Do you mean something over and above this?
